Day Two Automation ("we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered communication automation services for small businesses, including missed-call SMS response and related tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information.
Information We Collect
From end customers (people who call our client businesses):
- Phone number
- Call metadata (date, time, duration, call status)
- Voicemail recordings, if left
- Content of SMS messages exchanged with the business
- Voluntarily provided information (name, address, service request details)
From our business clients:
- Business name, owner name, contact email
- Business operating hours, services, service area
- Phone numbers operated by the business
- Billing information for paid services
We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment card numbers (handled by our payment processor), or government identification.
How We Use Information
- To deliver the core service: routing missed calls, generating SMS replies, storing conversation history for the business to follow up
- To improve service quality and AI response accuracy
- To communicate with our business clients about their account
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
We do not use end-customer data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the inquiry that initiated contact.
How We Share Information
Mobile Information and SMS Consent: No mobile information, phone numbers, or SMS consent records are shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors (such as Twilio for SMS delivery and Anthropic for AI message generation) supports only the operation of the service and is not used for marketing.
We share end-customer information only with the specific business the customer contacted. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.
We use the following service providers, who process data only to support our service:
- Twilio — telephony and SMS delivery
- Anthropic — AI message generation (messages are processed but not used for model training per Anthropic's data policy)
- Hosting providers — server infrastructure
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety and rights of users or the public.
SMS Program Terms
This section governs Day Two Automation's SMS messaging program. By providing your mobile number and submitting our contact form, you consent to receive SMS messages from Day Two Automation as described below.
How We Use SMS
Day Two Automation uses SMS messaging to respond to inquiries submitted through our website contact form, schedule consultations, and follow up on service requests. We do not send unsolicited promotional SMS messages.
Your Consent
You may provide consent to receive SMS messages in one of two ways:
- Web form submission: By submitting our contact form at daytwoautomation.com/contact and checking the SMS consent checkbox, you expressly consent to receive SMS messages from Day Two Automation at the mobile number you provide.
- Inbound call to our business: By calling our published business number and leaving a voicemail or speaking with our AI voice agent, you provide implied consent to receive an SMS follow-up related to your inquiry.
In both cases, consent is not a condition of purchase. You may opt out at any time.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the nature of your inquiry. You will typically receive one to three messages per inquiry thread. We do not send recurring automated marketing messages.
Opt-Out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and will not receive further texts. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.

Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Message and data rates may apply. Day Two Automation does not charge you for these messages.
Privacy
We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers and message content are stored only as needed to provide the service and respond to your inquiry.
Supported Carriers
This service works with all major US wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their subsidiaries. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Data Retention
- Call and SMS data: retained for 90 days by default, or longer if the business client configures extended retention
- Voicemail recordings: retained for 30 days unless saved by the business
- Business client account data: retained for the duration of the account plus 1 year after termination for legal and tax purposes
Your Rights
If you are an end customer who has interacted with one of our client businesses, you may:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about your interaction
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of SMS communications by replying STOP

Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to access, correct, and delete personal data, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage at rest, restricted access controls, and regular security review. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated to business clients via email.
